This is the structure coming together, I think i've done well in giving it a strong shape. The cones are very straight and in uniform with each other.

Because i've made two of them im going to hang them together so they look like they're a sphere but have been split down the middle. I have basically taken to quarters from a sphere.

I have been using spray mount to try and stick them together, i finished one and came back the next morning to see it had just fallen apart. The glue had just dried and cracked but was still really sticky so the paper picked up dust and bits of the floor which was annoying.

Im going to go back and use PVA instead after speaking to richard and asking what he thought was best.

This is an idea i had when i first thought of the cone idea. This dandelion has the same features as my sculpture. The internal structure and the ends of the stems are the same design.

One the things i looked t during the process of my design was wings, The two sculptures look like wings, the cones look like the feathers and especially the bits at the end could be the feathery bits of the wing.

When i stood back from this i thought of wings like a butterfly.
